Who or what is or was Yahshua?

The question how those of us who believe in Yahshua as the Messiah can say the Shema with a clear conscience, remains one of the most fervently debated theological questions of our time. But, it does not have to be so, since the Scriptures clearly explains that both Yahshua and the Set-apart Spirit emanate from the Father and neither part can live apart from the Father, as He alone is the source of all power and glory; and without Him neither cannot do anything. It was for this reason that Yahshua in answering Philip in John 14: 9 & 10 after he asked Yahshua (in verse 8) to show his disciples the Father, said to him:  “Have I been so long with you, and yet you have not come to know Me, Philip? He who has seen Me has seen the Father; how do you say, ‘Show us the Father?’ (10) Do you not believe that I am in the Father, and the Father is in Me? The words that I say to you I do not speak on My own initiative, but the Father abiding in Me does His works.” In John 16: 12 – 15 Yahshua talking about the role the Set-apart Spirit was to perform after His ascension to heaven, saying: “I have many more things to say to you, but you cannot bear them now. (13) But when He, the Spirit of truth, comes, He will guide you into all truth; for He will not speak on His own initiative, but whatever He hears, He will speak; and He will disclose to you what is to come. (14) He shall glorify Me; for He shall take of Mine, and shall disclose it to you. (15) All things that the Father has are Mine; therefore I said, that He takes of Mine, and will disclose it to you. “

Yahshua showed His disciples, but also us His latter day disciples that He the Savior and the Set-apart Spirit are part of YHVH the Father, but not as a trinity. Whilst the Roman Catholic Church has acknowledged Elohim to be a trinity of persons, the Scriptures do not and have strictly forbidden such speculation. But we also need to understand that those who believe in ‘Yahshua only’ in differing modes are as wrong as belief in a trinity. We are unmistakably dealing with three eternal aspects of the Elohim of Israel, as witnessed in the first part of Deuteronomy 33: 27, as follows: “The eternal Elohim is a dwelling place (or refuge), and underneath are the everlasting arms.” The Prophet Isaiah made this a little clearer in Isaiah 51: 4 & 5, saying: “Pay attention to Me, O My people; and give ear to Me, O My nation; for a law will go forth from Me, and I will set My justice for a light of the peoples. (5) My righteousness is near, My salvation has gone forth, and My arms will judge the peoples; the coastlands will wait for Me, and for My arm they will wait expectantly.” Even though the concept of the arms of YHVH might be to serve as a way to explain that both Yahshua and the Set-apart Spirit are part of Elohim’s being, as a figure of speech to aid our understanding, Isaiah goes on to explain this in Isaiah 52: 10, saying: ‘YHVH has bared His holy arm in the sight of all the nations, that all the ends of the earth may see the salvation of our Elohim.’  We see that this is also written in Psalm 98: 1 – 3 , in this way: “O sing to YHVH a new song, for he has done wonderful things, His right hand and His holy arm have gained the victory for Him, (2) YHVH has made known His salvation; He has revealed His righteousness in the sight of the nations. (3) He has remembered His lovingkindness and His faithfulness to the house of Israel; all the ends of the earth have seen the salvation of our Elohim.’   In Isaiah 53: 1, Isaiah asks two questions, namely: ‘Who has believed our message? And to whom has the arm of YHVH been revealed? Rav Yochanan answers this question in John 12: 37 – 40, saying: ‘But though He had performed so many signs before them, yet they were not believing in Him;  (38) that the word of Isaiah the prophet might be fulfilled which he spoke, “YHVH,WHO HAS BELIEVED OUR REPORT? AND TO WHOM HAS THE ARM OF YHVH BEEN REVEALED?” (39) For this cause they could not believe, for Isaiah said again, (40) “HE HAS BLINDED THEIR EYES, AND HE HARDENED THEIR HEART; LEST THEY SEE WITH THEIR EYES, AND PERCEIVE WITH THEIR HEART, AND BE CONVERTED, AND I HEAL THEM.” Yochanan was saying this about the Jews who were according to Romans 11: 25 – 27 blinded to Yahshua’s identity as the Messiah, until the full number of us from the lost ten tribes have returned to the covenant relationship we made with YHVH, together with the house of Judah, at which time a remnant from all will be saved.

Yahshua existed eternally before His first advent to bring the lost sheep of the house of Israel back to the covenant relationship they had with the Father, together with the house of Judah, as the commonwealth of Israel, as we read from Micah 5: 2, as follows: “But as for you, Bethlehem Ephrathah, too little to be among the clans of Judah, from you One will go forth for Me to be ruler in Israel. His goings forth are from long ago, from the days of eternity.” The word of YHVH was brought forth before He was begotten. Or in other words, He always existed in the Father’s bosom, but He was not brought forth from the Father, until the Father spoke Him forth. Since Yahshua was in the bosom of the Father, (John 1:18[1]) He is said to be His eternal Son! He did not become the Son of Man until the Father took His brought forth word and prepared a body for Him in Miriam’s womb to become our kinsman redeemer, as the Son of Man, as witnessed in both John 1: 14 and Hebrews 10: 5, respectively in this way:

  • John 1: 14, ‘And the Word became flesh, and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory, glory as of the only begotten from the Father, full of grace and truth.’

  • Hebrews 10: 5, ‘Therefore, when He comes into the world, He says, “SACRIFICE AND OFFERING THOU HAST NOT DESIRED, BUT A BODY THOU HAST PREPARED FOR ME.”’

But we are provided additional detail about what Messiah is and what He became in Colossians 1: 15 & 18, as follows: ‘And He is the image of the invisible Elohim, the first-born of all creation. (18) He is also the head of the body the congregation; and He is the beginning, the first-born from the dead (to become a Son of Elohim), so that He himself might come to have first place in everything.’ Yahshua became the Son of Elohim only after He was born-again from the dead, in order to show how we, if we qualify like Him,  will become Sons of Elohim, as recorded in Romans 1: 1 – 4, in this way: ‘Shaul, a bond-servant of Messiah Yahshua, called as an apostle, set apart for the gospel of Elohim, (2) which He promised beforehand through His prophets in the holy Scriptures, (3) concerning His Son, who was born a descendant of David according to the flesh, (4) who was declared the Son of Elohim with power by the resurrection from the dead, according to the spirit of holiness, Yahshua Messiah our Master.’  We read more detail about how the Father destined each one of us whom He calls to become Yahshua’s brethren, when we are one day at His return to earth resurrected or changed, from Romans 8: 28 – 30, as follows: ‘And we know that Elohim causes all things to work together for good to those who love Elohim, to those who are called according to His purpose. (29) For whom He foreknew, He also predestined to become conformed to the image of His Son, that He might be the first-born among many brethren; (30) and whom He predestined, these He also called; and whom He called, these He also justified; and whom He justified, these He also glorified.’  We read about our resurrection or change when Messiah returns from heaven in 1 Thessalonians 4: 14 – 17, in this way: ‘For if we believe that Yahshua died and rose again, even so Elohim will bring with Him those who have fallen asleep in Yahshua. (15) For this we say to you by the word of YHVH, that we who are live, and remain until the coming of the Master, shall not precede those who have fallen asleep. (16) For the Master Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and the trumpet of Elohim; and the dead in Messiah shall rise first. (17) Then we who are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds (on the Mount of Olives where Messiah ascended to heaven after he was resurrected as witnessed in Acts 1: 9 - 11[2]) to meet the Master in the air, and thus we shall always be with the Master.’

John 1: 1 – 3 shows clearly that the initial manifestation of YHVH was His own Word that emanated from His own bosom.  Before the Word was brought forth, it was with Elohim, as an eternal internal part of Elohim. Therefore the Word was Elohim Himself! As long as Yahweh the Father has existed, so has His Word that resided within Him, since He and His Word are inseparable, as opposed to that which the so-called "church" has done and taught, both the Father and His Word, (not 2 persons) existed in each other. When Father Yahweh released His Word from His bosom, He brought forth His very own Word and created the universe and everything else that exist by speaking them into existence. King David fully understood this and wrote accordingly in the first part of Psalm 33: 6, saying: ‘By the word of YHVH the heavens were made.’ But apart from referring to Yahshua as the word of Elohim, we have also seen that He was called the power and right hand or arm of Elohim. We see as early as in Exodus 6: 6, YHVH telling Moses: “Say, therefore, to the sons of Israel, ‘I am YHVH, and I will bring you out from under the burdens of the Egyptians, and I will deliver you from their bondage, I will also redeem you with an outstretched arm and with great judgments.’” The Prophet Jeremiah gives us more information about the way YHVH created the universe in Jeremiah 32: 17, saying: ‘Ah YHVH Elohim! Behold, Thou hast made the heavens and the earth by Thy great power and by Thine outstretched arm! Nothing is too difficult for Thee.’  Rav Shaul also understanding that Yahshua is Elohim’s power wrote accordingly in 1 Corinthians 1: 22 – 24, saying: ‘For indeed Jews ask for signs, and Greeks search for wisdom; (23) but we preach Messiah crucified, to Jews a stumbling block, and to Gentiles foolishness, (24) but to those who are the called, both Jews and Greeks, Messiah the power of Elohim and the wisdom of Elohim. Rav Shaul speaks throughout His letters to the congregations of called out Israelite believers in different Gentile areas, about Elohim’s mysteries.

The reason that the universe does not fall apart is because the Word which became His Son and is Yahweh’s bond (promise) and His omnipotence, holds all things together according to Hebrews 1: 1 – 3, as follows: ‘Elohim, after He spoke long ago to the fathers in the prophets in many portions and in many ways, (2) in these last days has spoken to us in His Son, whom He appointed heir of all things, through whom also He made the world (the KJV reads: worlds). (3) And He is the radiance of His glory and the exact representation of His nature, and upholds all things by the word of His power. When He had made purification of sins, He sat down at the right hand of the Majesty on high.’  Due to this truth Rav Shaul could proclaim in Colossians 2: 9 that in His Word, dwelt all the fullness of the Father’s given Power and authority, and in Colossians 2: 3 in whom are hidden all of the Father’s knowledge and wisdom. Since the Father has given all Power, authority and wisdom to His Word, His Word is equal to the Father in His power, might and wisdom. We also read about Yahshua as Elohim’s wisdom from Proverbs 8: 1, 22 – 30 in this way: ‘Does not wisdom call, and understanding lift up her voice? (22) “YHVH possessed me at the beginning of His way, before His works of old. (23) From everlasting I was established, from the beginning, from the earliest times of the earth. (24) When there were no depths I was brought forth, when there were no springs abounding with water. (25) Before the mountains were settled, before the hills I was brought forth; (26) while He had not yet made the earth and the fields, nor the first dust of the world.  (27) When He established the heavens, I was there, when He inscribed a circle on the face of the deep, (28) when He made firm the skies above, when the springs of the deep became fixed. (29) When He set for the sea its boundary, so that the water should not transgress His command, when He marked out the foundations of the earth; (30) then I was beside Him, as a master workman; and I was daily His delight, rejoicing always before Him .”’ The prophet Jeremiah fully understood all this and wrote accordingly in Jeremiah 51: 15, saying: ‘It is He who made the earth by His power, who established the world by His wisdom, and by His understanding He stretched out the heavens.’  The Prophet Isaiah talking about Messiah’s roots through Miriam, right back to King David’s father Jesse, also emphasize these attributes in Isaiah 11: 1 & 2, saying: ‘Then a shoot will spring from the stem of Jesse, and a branch from his roots will bear fruit. (2) And the Spirit of YHVH will rest on Him, the spirit of wisdom and understanding, the spirit of counsel and strength (or power), the spirit of knowledge and the fear of YHVH.’

The Prophet Isaiah further adds to the mystery of Yahshua being YHVH in the flesh starting in Isaiah 7: 14, saying: “Therefore YHVH Himself will give you a sign: Behold, a virgin will be with child and bear a son, and she will call His name Immanuel (the footnote against Immanuel reads: Elohim with us).”  Continuing in verse 8 –  18 of Isaiah 8, Isaiah provides more details about the sign He gave here, saying: “Then it (talking  about  waters of the Euphrates) will sweep on into Judah, it will overflow and pass through, it will reach even to the neck; and the spread of its wings will fill the breath of your land, O Immanuel. (9) Be broken, O peoples, and be shattered; and give ear all remote places of the earth. Gird yourselves, yet be shattered; gird yourselves, yet be shattered. (Isaiah foretold the exile of the house of Israel by the Assyrians, but wrote it down twice, meaning what happened anciently will or did happen again.)  (10) Devise a plan but it will be thwarted; state a proposal, but it will not stand, for Elohim is with us. (11) For thus YHVH spoke to me with mighty power and instructed me not to walk in the way of this people saying, (12) you are not to say, ’It is a conspiracy!’ in regard to all that this people call a conspiracy, and you are not to fear what they fear or be in dread of it. (13) It is YHVH of hosts whom you should regard as holy. And He shall be your fear, and He shall be your dread. (YHVH is warning against those assemblies amongst us, whom He called out of the churches of the world, and who are forever concerned about conspiracies, telling them not to be concerned about such conspiracies, since He is in charge and that they should rather fear Him.) (14) Then He shall become a sanctuary; but to both houses of Israel, a stone to strike and a rock to stumble over, and a snare and a trap for the inhabitants of Jerusalem. (15) And many will stumble over them, then they will fall and be broken; they will even be snared and caught.” (16) Bind up the testimony, seal the law among my disciples. (17) And I will wait for YHVH who is hiding His face from the house of Jacob; I will even look eagerly for Him. (18) Behold, I and the children whom YHVH has given me are for signs and wonders in Israel from YHVH of hosts, who dwells at Mount Zion.’

This section in Isaiah has all to do about Yahshua who is Elohim with us, the rock of our salvation, over which both houses of Israel are stumbling; the house of Judah because YHVH has purposely blinded their minds to the identity of the real Messiah, until the full number of us whom YHVH is calling (‘the children who YHVH has given me for signs and wonders in Israel’) have come in, when a remnant from both houses will be saved. Christianity and some of those amongst the people whom YHVH called out of the churches of the world, but then got deceived to follow just another counterfeit religion, who believes that they are the foundation upon whom Yahshua established His congregation of called out believers, instead of understanding that He is YHVH the rock of our salvation, upon which we as living stones are being built as Rav Kepha witnessed for us in 1 Peter 2: 5 – 10, saying: ‘You also, as living stones, are being built up as a spiritual house for a holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices acceptable to Elohim through Yahshua Messiah. (6) For this is contained in Scripture: “BEHOLD I LAY IN ZION A CHOICE STONE, A PRECIOUS CORNER stone, AND HE WHO BELIEVES IN HIM SHALL NOT BE DISAPPOINTED.” (7) This precious value, then, is for you who believe. But for those who disbelieve, “THE STONE WHICH THE BUILDERS REJECTED, THIS BECAME THE VERY CORNER stone,” (8) and, “A STONE OF STUMBLING AND A ROCK OF OFFENSE”; for they stumble because they are disobedient to the word, and to this doom they were also appointed. (This is not talking about the house of Judah whom YHVH has blinded for a period of time only, but this is talking about those who follow leaders who want to decide for themselves, when to keep Elohim’s Feast Days.) (9) But you (who know that Yahshua is YHVH in the flesh) are A CHOSEN RACE, A royal PRIESTHOOD, A HOLY NATION, A PEOPLE FOR ELOHIM’S OWN POSSESSION, that you may proclaim the excellencies of Him who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light; (10) for you once were NOT A PEOPLE, but now you are THE PEOPLE OF ELOHIM; you had NOT RECEIVED MERCY, but now you have RECEIVED MERCY.’  In this section we’ve discussed Yahshua as being the stone of stumbling and the rock of offense for both houses of Israel.

The question is why are those Israelites other than the house of Judah stumbling over the identity of Yahshua? The main reason for them stumbling over Messiah’s identity, is because they believe in two (YHVH)’s, Yahshua being the lesser YHVH. They believe that since Yahshua is the so-called lesser YHVH, His commandments are of lesser importance than that of YHVH Elohim. However, since Yahshua is the visible image of the invisible Elohim, or Elohim in the flesh – meaning He and the Father are one (as He also said in John 10: 30) and consequently His commandments are exactly the same as that of the Father. This is essentially what the word stone (אבן) transliterated as ‘Even’ in Hebrew, convey. The two words Father or ‘Avinu’ (אב) & the Son or ‘Ben’ (בן) overlap in the word stone. We can literally say that the Son is in the Father and the Father is in the Son as is confirmed by Yahshua in John 10: 37 - 38: “If I do not do the works of My Father, do not believe Me; (38) but if I do them, though you do not believe Me, believe the works, that you may know and understand that the Father is in Me, and I in the Father.” But this is also what YHVH told us through the Prophet Isaiah in Isaiah 42: 1 and 43: 10 and 11. In Isaiah 42: 1 YHVH talks about Yahshua through Isaiah, saying: “Behold, My Servant, whom I uphold; My chosen one in whom My soul delights. I have put My Spirit upon Him; He will bring forth justice to the nations.” Continuing in Isaiah 43: 10 & 11, we read: “You are My witnesses (those who believe in the Oneness of Elohim; namely we Nazarene Jews/Israelites but also our Jewish Brothers – the two witnesses), declares YHVH, and My servant whom I have chosen, in order that you may know and believe Me, and understand that I am He (or put differently; I am My Servant whom I have chosen). Before Me there was no Elohim formed, and there will be none after Me. (11) I, even I, am YHVH; and there is no savior besides Me.”

In Revelation 3: 14 the eternal Word Yahshua, is called the Beginning or source of the creation of Elohim. This is in agreement with Proverbs 8: 22, where Elohim’s wisdom was brought forth at the beginning of (YHVH)’s way. Even so YHVH wants each one of us on an individual basis to prove that he or she is indeed an Israelite. How do we prove that? How did the man whose name was changed from Jacob to Israel prove that? Jacob had to strive with Elohim to become Israel; he had to discover the identity of YHVH our Elohim for Himself.  Let’s therefore turn to Genesis 32, where these facts are recorded. Jacob left his father-in-law and returned home, after serving him for many years. On his way home, Jacob sent messengers before him to his brother Esau. Inspired by Elohim, he picked out two hundred female goats and twenty male goats, two hundred ewes and twenty rams, thirty camels and their colts, forty cows and ten bulls, twenty female donkeys and ten male donkeys. Then he divided each kind of stock into groups, sending each group out at a different time to approach Esau as one of several gifts. He instructs his servants in charge of each of these groups to tell Esau that their master Jacob hopes he (Esau) will accept his gifts. In this way Jacob made Esau to change his attitude towards him.

After the animals intended for Esau had gone on, Jacob moved the two sections of his entourage on ahead a short distance to camp for the night, whilst he remained behind alone to pray. We read about this as well as the strange thing that happened to him that night, in Genesis 32: 22 -30, as follows:  ‘Now he arose that same night and took his two wives and his two maids and his eleven children, and crossed the ford of the Jabbok. (23) And he took them and sent them across the stream. And he sent across whatever he had. (24) Then Jacob was left alone, and a man wrestled with him until daybreak. (25) And when he saw that he had not prevailed against him, he touched the socket of his thigh; so the socket of Jacob’s thigh was dislocated while he wrestled with him. (26) Then he said, “Let me go, for the dawn is breaking.” But he said, “I will not let you go unless you bless me.” (27) So he said to him, “What is your name?” And he said, “Jacob.” (28) And he said, “Your name shall no longer be Jacob, but Israel; for you have striven with Elohim and with men and have prevailed.” (29) Then Jacob asked him and said, “Please tell me your name.” But he said, “What is it that you ask my name?” And he blessed him there. (30) So Jacob named the place Peniel, for he said, “I have seen Elohim face to face, yet my life has been preserved.”’ We read in Hosea 12: 3 – 5 that Jacob actually wrestled with the angel of Elohim (the same angel that spoke to Samson’s parents in Judges 13, called ‘Wonderful’, and after He ascended to heaven in a flame on the altar, Manoah said to his wife: ‘We shall surely die, for we have seen Elohim’ in verse 22), as follows: ‘In the womb he took his brother by the heel, and in his maturity he contended with Elohim. (4) Yes, he wrestled with the angel and prevailed; he wept and sought His favor. He found Him at Bethel, and there He spoke with us, (5) even YHVH, the Elohim of hosts; YHVH is His name.’ However, because we know that nobody has ever seen or can see YHVH, this was in fact the visible (form or) image of ELOHIM with whom  Jacob wrestled, similar to the form of YHVH that Moses beheld in Numbers 12: 8. This was the Word who later became flesh and dwelt among us about 2000 years ago, namely Yahshua.

It was a trying night for Jacob, when he realized that he was dealing with more than a human being. He struggled to get a blessing from this Superior being. Before sunset the next morning he was blessed and praised for his determination. Jacob was determined to strive with all his might not to lose Elohim’s blessing and eternal promises. Jacob’s determination was greater than that of Esau, who sold his birthright for a bowl of stew. He proved that he had strength of character to overcome his spiritual problems. The wrestling match was actually a test of character. Before Jacob’s wrestling partner left, He told Jacob that his name should be changed from Jacob to Israel, which means one who overcomes. Elohim would not give His blessing and birthright to a man who had taken them from a weaker brother unfairly. YHVH appeared as a man to give Jacob the chance to prove himself as one who is able to overcome. As our father Jacob had to overcome to prove his strength of character,  each one of us, whom YHVH called at this time, has to overcome those sins which so beset us, before we will be allowed access into the coming Kingdom of Elohim. Overcoming involves righteousness with great contentment. We need to learn to be content with every situation in which we find ourselves in life. Contentment or gratitude is the recognition that life owes us nothing and that all we have are gifts. Pride is a major obstacle – if we have no pride, then we have no obstacle. We are however assured that those of us who have been immersed in Yahshua’s saving name (as per Acts 2: 38[3]) and had hands laid upon us by the elders (as we read in Acts 8: 16 & 17[4]), have already received a portion of the Set-apart Spirit as a pledge of inheritance, with a view to redemption (as per Ephesians 1: 13 -14[5]). This is confirmed for us in 1 John 5: 4, as follows: ‘For whatever is born of Elohim overcomes the world; and this is the victory that has overcome the world – our faith.’ The question, do these attacks or challenges come from Satan? Or is it a challenge directly from YHVH, who wants you O, Jacob – the latter day descendants of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, to prove that Yahshua, the word of Elohim, is YHVH in the flesh.  When you and I understand that we become the royal priesthood spoken about in 1 Peter 2: 5 – 10 (quoted earlier), is when you and I, as priests to YHVH, should wear our head coverings as priests because Yahshua has already made us a kingdom of priests, as also witnessed in Revelation 1: 5 & 6, as follows: ‘And from Yahshua Messiah, the faithful witness, the first-born of the dead, and the ruler of the kings of the earth. To Him who loves us, and released us from our sins by His blood, (6) and He has made us to be a kingdom, priests to His Elohim and Father; to Him be the glory and dominion forever and ever. Amein.’

In Isaiah 48: 12 & 13 YHVH tells us through Isaiah, saying: “Listen to Me, O Jacob, even Israel whom I called; I am He, I am the first, I am also the last.’ (13) Surely My hand founded the earth, and My right hand spread out the heavens; when I call to them, they stand together.” But, in Revelation 1: 17 & 18, Yahshua told Yochanan one of His disciples the same thing in a vision, a number of years after He ascended to heaven, as follows: ‘And when I saw Him, I fell at His feet as a dead man. And He laid His right hand upon me, saying, “Do not be afraid; I am the first and the last, (18) and the living One; and I was dead, and behold, I am alive forevermore, and I have the keys of death and of Hades (the grave).”’ Messiah Yahshua was never formed or created; He is as much the first and the last, as is YHVH the Father (as per Revelation 2: 8, 21: 6 & 22:13) and Hebrews 12:2, where Yahshua is the author and the perfecter of the faith of Abraham, Isaac and Israel. The transliterated Hebrew of Genesis 1: 1 reads: “Bereshith bara Elohim aleph-tav hashamayim veyaleph-tavet haaretz.”  Or in the beginning Elohim created the heavens through aleph-tav and the earth through aleph-tav (meaning the word of Elohim).  Yahshua is the Word of YHVH, and so is YHVH, it is therefore logical that Yahshua is YHVH in the flesh, as Rav Shaul wrote about the mystery of the faith in 1 Timothy 3: 16 (KJV), saying: ‘And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness (called the mystery of the faith in verse 9): Elohim was manifested in the flesh, justified in the Spirit, seen of angels, preached unto Gentiles, believed on in the world, received up into glory.’ In 1 Timothy 4: 1 & 2 (which is really a continuation from chapter 3: 16) Rav Shaul mentions how in later times some will fall away from the faith, deceived by those who forbid (their priest) to marry and abstaining from foods (meaning meat on Fridays) and teach false doctrines, as follows: ‘But the Spirit explicitly says that in later times some will fall away from the faith, paying attention to deceitful spirits and doctrines of demons, (2) by means of hypocrisy of liars seared in their own conscience as with a branding iron.’ Those who are familiar with the doctrines of the Roman Catholic Church will know that Rav Shaul is talking about them here. They are the ones who started and are teaching Christians everywhere that G-d is a Trinity. But, even at the end of the Great Tribulation, Yahshua returns from heaven in Revelation 19:10, as the Word of Yahweh, coming to resurrect His believing children.

Perhaps most revealing is the original Hebrew Matthew used by the apostles and the early Jewish believers. Today this gospel is known as the Hebrew Shem Tov version and not surprisingly the Trinitarian dogma is not to be found. Matthew’s Hebrew Gospel, used by the early ante-Nicean Jewish fathers reads in verse 19 of Matthew 28 as follows: "With one word and voice He said to His disciples: “Go and make disciples of all nations in My name teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you.” (Proof of the Gospel by Eusebius, Book 111, ch 6, 132 (a), p. 152).  The things Yahshua commanded His disciples, is Torah, which is forever. Maybe if Trinitarians and those who believe in two (YHVH)’s would spend more time teaching what Yahshua taught, which is Torah, we wouldn’t have to deal with the nonsense taught by the Christian church, but we will, like all Jews pray the Shema with a clear conscience in the morning when we get up and in the evening before we go to bed. Think about it!
